Plain English Summary

6/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of Airbus A319/A320/A321 aeroplanes (subject to specified production or service modifications) to inspect and, if necessary, repair slide‑raft telescopic girt bars and to install a terminating modification per Airbus Service Bulletin A320‑52‑1112 Rev 05. It responds to reports that an incorrectly machined chamfer can stop the trigger working and prevent slide‑raft deployment. Affected operators must carry out inspections and corrective work within set flight‑hour/time limits and pay for parts, labour and any aircraft downtime; the regulator enforces compliance.
