AD/A109/57 - Cargo Hook Installation - 2

This Directive requires operators of Agusta A109E, A109S and A109LUH helicopters fitted with the listed single or double cargo-hook assemblies to inspect the cargo-hook lever (P/N 232-028-00) using the applicable Agusta Alert Service Bulletin and to stop using any hook found cracked. It must be inserted in the aircraft flight/maintenance supplements.

Operators pay for and perform the inspections; if cracking is found the hook’s use is prohibited. Initial compliance is before the next cargo-hook operation after 14 June 2007 (by 31 Aug 2007); thereafter inspections are required before each single-hook operation.
