Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

What it does: Requires a one‑time inspection of the Breeze Eastern BL‑16600 rescue hoist mounting bracket on Agusta A109 helicopters (excluding BL‑16600‑160). The AD responds to FAA reports of cracked brackets that could cause the hoist to separate. Operators must complete the inspection per Breeze Eastern Customer Aerospace Advisory Bulletin CAB‑100‑56 before the hoist’s next use after 6 November 2002. CASA issued the directive; operators pay for inspection and any remedial work.
