Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires urgent, repeated inspections of main rotor blades (Agusta A109, P/N 109-0103-01, all dash variants) once blades have 600+ flight hours. It affects operators of those helicopters and tightens earlier inspection timing.

It responds to in-service blade cracking that could be catastrophic; inspections (daily preflight checks plus recurring detailed checks per Agusta Bollettino Tecnico No 109-50 Rev A) must begin 25 February 1988 and recur frequently.
