### 36 Crimes and offences where similar to be similarly dealt with > > (1)  Where an act or omission constitutes a crime under the provisions of any Act and the like act or omission constitutes an offence punishable summarily under the provisions of some other Act, the principles of criminal responsibility applicable in relation to such crime shall be applied in relation to such offence, and all terms and expressions used in relation to such offence shall have the same meaning and construction as when similarly used in relation to such crime. > > > (2)  In any such case as aforesaid, the provisions of the *Criminal Code*, so far as the same are applicable and to the extent hereinbefore provided, shall be applied in relation to any such offence.
