### 32 Alternative procedure in respect of offences > Except as otherwise provided by the [Criminal Code Act 1924](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1924-069) , where an act or omission constitutes an offence under each of 2 or more Acts or both under an Act and at common law, the offender shall be liable to be prosecuted and punished under either or any of such Acts or at common law, but shall not be liable to be punished twice for the same offence.
