52 Self-management areas
S. 52(1) amended by No. 49/2019 s. 140(Sch. 2 item 29).
(1) The Secretary may, in writing, declare an area to be a self-management area and must specify, in the declaration, the terms and conditions on which the self-management area is to be managed.
(2) A self-management area must not include any area that is in a controlled area.

(3) The Secretary may, by declaration, amend or revoke a declaration made under subsection (1) at any time.
(4) A declaration under this section must be published in the Government Gazette.
