140A Power to issue permit

S. 140A(1) amended by No. 49/2019 s. 140(Sch. 2 item 120(a)).

(1) The Secretary may issue a permit to a person authorising the person to drive a tow truck or accompany the driver of a tow truck for the purpose of being trained in the driving of tow trucks and matters relating to the driving or functioning of tow trucks.

(2) In making a decision to issue a tow truck trainee permit the Secretary must have regard to the driver accreditation objective.
