105 Time within which the Secretary must deal with application

(1) Subject to this section, the Secretary must decide whether to approve or refuse an application for accreditation under this Part within 30 days after receiving the application.

(2) The Secretary may, before the expiry of the period specified in subsection (1), decide to extend the period within which it may decide whether to approve or refuse an application if the Secretary requires the applicant to supply further information or things.

(3) If the Secretary decides under subsection (2) to extend the period within which it may decide whether to approve or refuse an application, the Secretary must notify the applicant in writing of that decision and the new period within which the Secretary intends to make its decision whether to approve or refuse the application.
