This short law gives the ANU Vice‑Chancellor statutory authority to make detailed Academic Integrity Rules governing student misconduct (plagiarism, cheating, etc.) and enables the University to investigate and penalise students. It applies to all ANU students and matters because it creates a flexible legal foundation so the University can update procedures and sanctions quickly as new forms of misconduct (including AI misuse) emerge.
