Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These Regulations set a fixed monetary threshold of $500 to determine when certain provisions of the Absconding Debtors Act apply. They mechanically establish that figure as the trigger for enforcement-related rules, so the law’s operation for affected debtors and creditors depends on whether a debt meets or exceeds that amount.
