#### 61 Rejection of nomination 61 Rejection of nomination > > (1) The returning officer is to reject the nomination of a person as a candidate at an election if— > > > > > (a) the person is not qualified to stand for election, or > > > > > (b) the person is not nominated in accordance with clause 60 and any failure to comply with the requirements of clause 60(1) is not rectified as provided by that clause. > > > (2) The deposit accompanying the nomination is to be retained pending the election.
