#### 32 Change of name of Local Aboriginal Land Council area 32 Change of name of Local Aboriginal Land Council area > > (1) A Local Aboriginal Land Council may apply to the Registrar for an order under section 87(1)(a) of the Act. > > > (2) An application must be made in writing and specify the proposed new name. > > > (3) On receipt of an application, the Registrar must cause a notice containing particulars of the proposal to be sent to the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council. > > > (4) The Registrar must make a recommendation to the Minister concerning an application after— > > > > > (a) allowing a reasonable period for submissions to be made in relation to the matter by the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council, and > > > > > (b) considering any submissions and any other matter the Registrar thinks fit. > > > (5) On receiving the recommendation of the Registrar, the Minister may make an order under section 87(1)(a) of the Act or refuse to make an order. > > > (6) The Registrar must serve notice of the Minister’s determination on the applicant.
