#### 109 Application of Commercial Arbitration Act 2010 to arbitrations under the Act 109 Application of [Commercial Arbitration Act 2010](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2010-061) to arbitrations under the Act > > (1) For the purposes of section 240 of the Act, the application of the [Commercial Arbitration Act 2010](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2010-061) is modified in accordance with this clause. > > > (2) Section 10 of the [Commercial Arbitration Act 2010](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2010-061) is to be read as follows— > > > > > An arbitration agreement is to be taken to provide for the appointment of a single arbitrator only. > > > (3) A provision of the [Commercial Arbitration Act 2010](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2010-061) does not apply to the extent to which it provides for the appointment of more than one arbitrator.
