#### 16 Payments to Land Council by the Crown in respect of interests in Aboriginal land The Crown shall pay to a Land Council amounts equal to the amounts of rents and other prescribed payments paid to the Crown in respect of an interest (including a mining interest) granted by the Crown (whether before or after the commencement of this Act) in Aboriginal land in the area of the Land Council, not being payments in the nature of royalties in respect of a mining interest or payments made to the Northern Territory by way of fees for services provided under provisions of a law of the Northern Territory relating to mining for minerals.
