#### 195 Suspension during investigation 195 Suspension during investigation > > (1) This section applies if the Registrar decides to conduct an investigation in relation to an officer of an Aboriginal Land Council. > > > (2) The Registrar may, by written notice, suspend the officer from holding office if the Registrar is satisfied the alleged misconduct is so serious as to threaten the proper operation of the Aboriginal Land Council. > > > (3) The suspension has effect until whichever of the following occurs first— > > > > > (a) the end of the period of 6 months after the date of the notice of suspension, > > > > > (b) the Registrar decides not to take disciplinary action against the officer, > > > > > (c) the Registrar decides to take disciplinary action against the officer. > > > (4) Subsection (3) does not apply if the Registrar refers the alleged misconduct to the Tribunal under Subdivision 4. > > **s 195:** Ins 2001 No 118, Sch 1 \[17\].
