#### 191 Investigations 191 Investigations > > (1) The Registrar may conduct an investigation for the purpose of deciding whether an officer or member of staff of an Aboriginal Land Council has engaged in misconduct and should be subject to disciplinary action. > > > (2) The Registrar may conduct the investigation— > > > > > (a) on the Registrar’s own initiative, or > > > > > (b) on the basis of a complaint made to the Registrar that the officer or member of staff has engaged in misconduct, or > > > > > (c) on the basis of a report by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, or > > > > > (d) on the basis of a report by the Ombudsman. > > > (3) The Registrar may request the Aboriginal Land Council to provide the Registrar with a report in relation to the alleged misconduct of the officer or member of staff. > > > (4) This section authorises the Independent Commission Against Corruption or the Ombudsman to make a report to the Registrar for the purposes of this section or another provision of this Act. > > **s 191:** Ins 2001 No 118, Sch 1 \[17\].
