### sec.124 Production or display of identity card
In exercising a power under this Act in relation to a person, an authorised officer must—
produce the authorised officer’s identity card for the person’s inspection before exercising the power; or
have the identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person when exercising the power.
However, if it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised officer must produce the identity card for the person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
For subsection (1) , an authorised officer does not exercise a power in relation to a person only because the authorised officer, as authorised under this Act, enters—
a public place when it is open to the public; or
a place for the purpose of asking the occupier of the place for consent to enter.

(sec.124-ssec.2) However, if it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised officer must produce the identity card for the person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
(sec.124-ssec.3) For subsection (1) , an authorised officer does not exercise a power in relation to a person only because the authorised officer, as authorised under this Act, enters— a public place when it is open to the public; or a place for the purpose of asking the occupier of the place for consent to enter.
