#### 83 Rate of child care benefit for care provided by registered carer (1) The hourly rate of child care benefit for care provided to a child by a registered carer is an amount per hour worked out in accordance with the formula:  where: > minimum hourly amount is the amount specified in the numerator in the formula in clause 12 of Schedule 2. > schooling % is: (a) 85% if the child is a school child; and (b) 100% if the child is not a school child. Section 84 imposes a limit on the amount of child care benefit that may be paid for care provided to a child in a week. (2) To avoid doubt, the hourly rate may be applied to a part of an hour. That part of the hour attracts the appropriate proportion of the amount for a full hour.
