#### 53D Determination of entitlement If the Secretary is satisfied that the claimant is eligible for child care benefit under section 46 of the Family Assistance Act in respect of the child, the Secretary must determine that the claimant is entitled to be paid child care benefit by single payment/in substitution because of the death of another individual in respect of the child for the amount the Secretary considers the claimant eligible.
