6 Transfer of rights and obligations of Commonwealth under contracts
(1) The regulations may provide for: (a) the substitution of the Territory for the Commonwealth as a party to any contract; and (b) matters connected with any such substitution. (2) Subsection (1) applies only to a contract: (a) which is subsisting immediately before Self‑Government Day; (b) to which the Commonwealth is a party; and (c) which relates to a Territory function.
