- The defendant, who has been designated for the purpose of this proceeding as Ms X, completed her articles of clerkship on 15 March this year. She was during the period of her articles a model articled clerk. She was so described in an affidavit sworn on 6 July 2001 by the person to whom she was articled. He also described her in that affidavit as "a highly principled young person". He looked forward to working with her in the future.
