I advise this meeting that:
A complaint was made to the Local Government Standards Panel, in which it was alleged that I contravened regulation 18 of Division 4 of the Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021 when I submitted a letter to the Subiaco Post newspaper. The letter was published, in modified terms, in an article titled "Blueprint for Fairer Planning" on 21 August 2021.
The State Administrative Tribunal found that I breached regulation 18(1)(b) by my conduct in that I acted improperly and was at least recklessly indifferent to the detriment that my letter would cause to Mr Everett, who was then an elected member of Council.
I acknowledge that I should have not engaged in the relevant conduct, and I now apologise to Mr Everett.

(c) in the next occurring issue of any Town of Cambridge public newsletter (if any) (whether in electronic or print copy).

The State Administrative Tribunal found that I breached regulation 34D and clause 13.3 of the Town Local Law by my conduct.
