(a) the affidavit of the father filed 24 December 2025;
(b) the affidavit of Mr L, solicitor in the UAE, filed 24 December 2025; and
(c) his amended application filed 24 December 2025.
We are planning to travel overseas for a summer holiday and while preparing our documents, I realised the passports were missing. I searched thoroughly at the home and in the car but have not been able to relocate them. I believe they may have been displaced during a recent cleanup or move.
You can hold the passports with you during the trip. If [X's] passport is expired, I'll renew it.
Don't worry about the passports - I'll take care of everything.
You cannot get passport without me. I am the primary career [sic] for the kids just to be clear and it is an offense to do anything without me about the passports.
The mother promptly responded:
Yes, of course. But I can try and sort out paperwork for you if you want.
I was preparing for my children's upcoming holiday and went to locate [Y's] passport. Despite searching thoroughly, I was unable to find it. As the passport has been lost, I am now applying for a replacement.
We have reasonable grounds to suspect both fraud and dishonesty in the applications which were used to subsequently receive the Australian passport for [X] and [Y].
and that the father's signature on both applications:
