Application for approval of the Metromix Pty Ltd. - Teralba and Marrangaroo Quarries Collective Enterprise Agreement 2025

[1] Metromix Pty. Ltd. has applied for approval of a single enterprise agreement known as the Metromix Pty Ltd. - Teralba and Marrangaroo Quarries Collective Enterprise Agreement 2025 (the Agreement).

[2] The Australian Workers' Union was a bargaining representative for the Agreement. It has raised a concern about the Workplace Delegates Rights term at clause 6.4 of the Agreement. The concern is overcome by the fact of incorporation of modern award terms into the Agreement, as supplemented by a more beneficial term in the Agreement in relation to delegate training.

[3] On the papers and having regard to the Statement of Principles, I am satisfied that each of the requirements of ss.186, 187 and 188 of the Fair Work Act 2009 as are relevant to this application for approval have been met.

[4] The Agreement is approved and in accordance with s.54 of the Act, will operate from 26 December 2025. The nominal expiry date of the Agreement is 26 June 2028. The Agreement covers the Australian Workers' Union.
