Legal Services Commissioner v Nelson (Legal Practice) [2013] VCAT 1347
Mr Nelson having been found guilty of nine counts of professional misconduct, the Tribunal orders as follows:
FAILURE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE LSC (CHARGE 7)
To allow inspection by prior arrangement by a person appointed by the Legal Services Commissioner, of all documents and records relevant to his legal practice, fortnightly from today, until the hearing of this matter, and to allow entry to any premises from which he practices, for this purpose.
This served to accord a significant measure of protection to the public, pending the conduct of the adjourned hearing.

[3] See the definition of 'law practice' in s.1.2.1 of the Act, which includes 'an Australian legal practitioner who is a sole practitioner'. The consequence of this is that a sole practitioner is responsible by the law practice for compliance with every statutory obligation under the Act. See also s.7.2.12- Liability of Principals.
