The Applicant has raised a query as to whether the Respondent's lawyers have been granted permission under s.596 of the Act to appear on behalf of the Respondent in the proceedings. I have not decided at this point as to whether the Respondent will be granted permission to be represented in the proceedings, as the Applicant has not been fit to engage in a hearing to hear arguments on the matter and for it to be determined. To be clear, to the extent that the Respondent's lawyers have been engaging in correspondence with chambers and the Applicant, they do not yet have the status as a representative under and no correspondence from the Respondent's lawyers has been taken into account in reaching this determination.
