Judgment
- BEECH-JONES CJ at CL: This is an application by Elefterious (Terry) Fantakis (the "Applicant") for bail pending the hearing of an application for leave to appeal against his conviction for murder. To obtain a grant of bail pending the appeal, the Applicant must, inter alia, demonstrate that "special or exceptional circumstances" exist to justify the grant of bail (Bail Act 2013 (NSW), s 22(1)). For the reasons that follow, I do not consider that he has done so.
