Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union
[1] On 13 February 2013 the Northern District Branch of the Mining and Energy Division of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union lodged with the Fair Work Commission (FWC) a notice and declaration setting out particulars of alterations to the rules of the Northern District Branch ('the Northern District Branch Rules') contained within, and forming part of, the rules of the Mining and Energy Division and its District Branches.
[2] The particulars set out alterations to rules 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the Northern District Branch rules.
[3] On 6 March 2013 the Northern District Branch of the abovenamed organisation consented, in accordance with section 159(2) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009, to my correcting a typographical, clerical or formal error as set out in a letter from FWC on 5 March 2013.
[4] On the information contained in the notice, I am satisfied the alterations were made in accordance with the rules of the organisation.
[5] In my opinion, the alterations comply with and are not contrary to this Act, the Fair Work Act, modern awards and enterprise agreements, and are not otherwise contrary to law. I certify accordingly under subsection 159(1) of the Act.
