Application for variation of the Australian Offshore Solutions Pty Ltd Maritime Offshore Oil and Gas Industry Deck Officers Enterprise Agreement 2023

[1] Australian Offshore Solutions Pty Ltd (the Applicant) has made an application for the approval of a variation to Offshore Solutions Pty Ltd Maritime Offshore Oil and Gas Industry Deck Officers Enterprise Agreement 2023 (the Agreement). The application was made under s 210 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). The decision to approve the Agreement was [2023] FWCA 3760.

[2] The application seeks to vary various clauses of the Agreement. The proposed variation to the Agreement is attached to this decision as Annexure A. The purpose of the variation is to introduce an 'Anchor Handline Allowance' at clause 20.9; and amend the insurances clause at 35.1.

[3] The Australian Workers' Union is an employee organisation that is covered by the Agreement and is supportive of the approval of the proposed variation.

[4] I am satisfied that each of the requirements of ss 210 and 211 of the Act as are relevant to this application for approval of a variation have been met.

[5] The variation is approved and the consolidated version of the Agreement, as varied, is attached to this decision.

[6] In accordance with s 216 of the Act, the variation operates from Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
