### sec.690 Offences relating to former entity
This section applies if—
under a provision of the pre-amended Act, a person who did or omitted to do an act in relation to a former entity or something done or required to be done by a former entity, committed an offence; and
the provision is—
amended by the amendment Act so that it no longer applies in relation to the former entity, or something done or required to be done by the former entity; or
is repealed by the amendment Act.
A proceeding for the offence may be continued or started, and the provisions of the pre-amended Act that are necessary or convenient to be used in relation to the proceeding continue to apply, as if the amendment Act had not been enacted.
For subsection (2), the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 20 applies, but does not limit the subsection.
Subsection (2) applies despite the Criminal Code, section 11.
