### sec.689 References to former entity
In an instrument, a reference to a former entity is taken, if the context permits, to be a reference to—
if the reference relates to a function of the former entity under this Act that, from the commencement, is a function of the Regulator—the Regulator; or
if the reference relates to a function of the former entity under this Act that, from the commencement, is a function of WorkCover—WorkCover; or
otherwise—the State.

- (b) if the reference relates to a function of the former entity under this Act that, from the commencement, is a function of WorkCover—WorkCover; or
