### sec.582 Powers of industrial magistrate
For this Act, an industrial magistrate has all the powers conferred on an industrial magistrate by the Industrial Relations Act 2016 or by the rules of court or a regulation made for that Act, so far as those powers are appropriate to matters arising under this Act.
Also, for any proceeding before an industrial magistrate under this Act to which this Act does not expressly apply the provisions of the Justices Act 1886 , a regulation may provide for all matters relating to the proceeding, including, for example, the summonsing of witnesses and the hearing of an appeal.
A regulation under subsection (2) prevails over any inconsistent rule of court or regulation mentioned in subsection (1) .
