### sec.482 Additional power to direct WorkCover
This section applies to anything other than a commercial activity of WorkCover.
The Minister may give WorkCover a written direction for the administration of this Act.
Before giving the direction, the Minister must—
consult with WorkCover’s board; and
ask the board to advise the Minister whether it considers complying with the direction would adversely affect the performance of its functions.
Subsection (3) does not apply if the Minister’s direction is in response to a written recommendation of the board about the relevant matter, whether or not the direction implements the recommendation.
The board must comply with the direction.
The Minister must cause a copy of the direction to be—
published in the gazette within 21 days after it is given; and
tabled in the Legislative Assembly within 14 sitting days after it is given.
