### sec.481 Reserve power of Minister to give directions in public interest
The Minister may give the board a written direction in relation to WorkCover if the Minister is satisfied that it is necessary to give the direction in the public interest.
The board must ensure the direction is complied with in relation to WorkCover.
Before giving the direction, the Minister must—
consult with the board; and
ask the board to advise the Minister whether, in its opinion, complying with the direction would not be in the commercial interests of WorkCover.
The Minister must cause a copy of the direction to be—
published in the gazette within 21 days after it is given; and
tabled in the Legislative Assembly within 14 sitting days after it is given.

(sec.481-ssec.1) The Minister may give the board a written direction in relation to WorkCover if the Minister is satisfied that it is necessary to give the direction in the public interest.
(sec.481-ssec.2) The board must ensure the direction is complied with in relation to WorkCover.
(sec.481-ssec.3) Before giving the direction, the Minister must— consult with the board; and ask the board to advise the Minister whether, in its opinion, complying with the direction would not be in the commercial interests of WorkCover.
