### sec.171 Redemption—worker receiving weekly payments for at least 2 years
This section applies if—
a worker has been receiving weekly payments of compensation for at least 2 years; and
the insurer receives a report from a doctor that the worker’s injury is not stable and stationary for the purposes of assessing permanent impairment.
The insurer’s liability to make weekly payments of compensation may be discharged by a redemption payment to the worker in an amount agreed between the insurer and the worker.
(sec.171-ssec.1) This section applies if— a worker has been receiving weekly payments of compensation for at least 2 years; and the insurer receives a report from a doctor that the worker’s injury is not stable and stationary for the purposes of assessing permanent impairment.
(sec.171-ssec.2) The insurer’s liability to make weekly payments of compensation may be discharged by a redemption payment to the worker in an amount agreed between the insurer and the worker.
