### sec.25U Deciding application
The Minister must consider and decide an application made under section 25R within 65 business days after the later of the following—
the day the Minister receives the application;
the day the Minister receives all information required by the Minister for deciding the application.
In deciding an application, the Minister may have regard to—
the extent and nature of the applicant’s loss or damage; and
the extent to which the applicant has mitigated, or attempted to mitigate, the loss or damage; and
any other matter the Minister considers appropriate.
The Minister may decide—
to pay all or part of the compensation claimed; or
to refuse to pay the compensation.
If the Minister has not decided an application within the period stated in subsection (1) for the application, the Minister is taken to have refused to pay compensation.

(sec.25U-ssec.3) The Minister may decide— to pay all or part of the compensation claimed; or to refuse to pay the compensation.
(sec.25U-ssec.4) If the Minister has not decided an application within the period stated in subsection (1) for the application, the Minister is taken to have refused to pay compensation.
- (a) the day the Minister receives the application;
- (b) the day the Minister receives all information required by the Minister for deciding the application.

- (c) any other matter the Minister considers appropriate.
