### sec.18 Approval of final strategy
The final version of the waste management strategy must be approved by the Minister by gazette notice.
The waste management strategy comes into effect as the State’s waste management strategy on the day the Minister’s approval is gazetted or on a later day stated in the gazette notice or in the strategy for that purpose.
The gazette notice in which the Minister approves the waste management strategy must include details about where a copy of the strategy may be inspected and obtained.
The chief executive must publish the waste management strategy in full on the department’s website as soon as practicable after its approval.
(sec.18-ssec.1) The final version of the waste management strategy must be approved by the Minister by gazette notice.
