### sec.61 Role of contact person in case of self-administration decision
This section applies if the person makes a self-administration decision.
The contact person for the person is authorised to—
receive the voluntary assisted dying substance from an authorised supplier; and
possess the substance for the purpose of paragraph (c) or (d) ; and
supply the substance to the person; and
give the substance, or any unused or remaining substance, to an authorised disposer under section 63 .
The contact person for the person must inform the coordinating practitioner for the person if the person dies (whether as a result of self-administering the voluntary assisted dying substance or from some other cause), within 2 business days of becoming aware of the death.
The board may contact the contact person to request information.
(sec.61-ssec.1) This section applies if the person makes a self-administration decision.
(sec.61-ssec.2) The contact person for the person is authorised to— receive the voluntary assisted dying substance from an authorised supplier; and possess the substance for the purpose of paragraph (c) or (d) ; and supply the substance to the person; and give the substance, or any unused or remaining substance, to an authorised disposer under section 63 .
(sec.61-ssec.3) The contact person for the person must inform the coordinating practitioner for the person if the person dies (whether as a result of self-administering the voluntary assisted dying substance or from some other cause), within 2 business days of becoming aware of the death.

- (a) receive the voluntary assisted dying substance from an authorised supplier; and
- (b) possess the substance for the purpose of paragraph (c) or (d) ; and
- (c) supply the substance to the person; and
- (d) give the substance, or any unused or remaining substance, to an authorised disposer under section 63 .
