### sec.23 Outcome of first assessment
If the coordinating practitioner is satisfied that the person—
is eligible for access to voluntary assisted dying; and
understands the information given under section 22 (1) ;
the coordinating practitioner must assess the person as meeting the requirements of the first assessment.
If the coordinating practitioner is not satisfied as to any matter in subsection (1) —
the practitioner must assess the person as not meeting the requirements of a first assessment; and
the request and assessment process ends.
(sec.23-ssec.1) If the coordinating practitioner is satisfied that the person— is eligible for access to voluntary assisted dying; and understands the information given under section 22 (1) ; the coordinating practitioner must assess the person as meeting the requirements of the first assessment.
(sec.23-ssec.2) If the coordinating practitioner is not satisfied as to any matter in subsection (1) — the practitioner must assess the person as not meeting the requirements of a first assessment; and the request and assessment process ends.
