### sec.91R Decision on application and exemption certificate
The chief executive must inform an applicant for an interlock exemption of the chief executive’s decision on the application by written notice.
If the chief executive decides to grant the exemption, the written notice must contain a brief statement of—
the matters of which the chief executive was satisfied under section 91Q (3) ; and
the matters in relation to which the person must notify the chief executive, under section 91Y , of any change.
Also, if the chief executive decides to grant the exemption, the chief executive must give the applicant a certificate about the exemption (the exemption certificate ).
The exemption certificate must be in the approved form and must state—
the exemption’s expiry date; and
any restrictions applying to the exemption; and
to the extent it is relevant, the information mentioned in section 91S .
If the chief executive decides to refuse to grant the exemption, the notice must state—
the reasons for the decision; and
the prescribed review information for the decision.
