### sec.7AA Approved practical legal training requirements—additional requirements for particular persons
This rule applies in relation to a person who has satisfactorily completed approved practical legal training requirements under rule 7 more than 5 years before an application for admission is made by the person.
Any legal training requirements approved by the board under this rule are approved practical legal training requirements for the person’s admission to the legal profession under the Legal Profession Act 2007 , in addition to the approved practical legal training requirements under rule 7 .
The board may approve, as additional legal training requirements for the person, the satisfactory completion of the requirements of a course, or part of a course, mentioned in rule 7 , as the board considers appropriate.
In deciding whether to approve any additional legal training requirements for the person, the board must assess—
the approved practical legal training requirements completed by the person; and
any relevant experience of the person.

(sec.7AA-ssec.1) This rule applies in relation to a person who has satisfactorily completed approved practical legal training requirements under rule 7 more than 5 years before an application for admission is made by the person.
(sec.7AA-ssec.2) Any legal training requirements approved by the board under this rule are approved practical legal training requirements for the person’s admission to the legal profession under the Legal Profession Act 2007 , in addition to the approved practical legal training requirements under rule 7 .

(sec.7AA-ssec.4) In deciding whether to approve any additional legal training requirements for the person, the board must assess— the approved practical legal training requirements completed by the person; and any relevant experience of the person.
- (a) the approved practical legal training requirements completed by the person; and
- (b) any relevant experience of the person.
