### sec.34 Functions
The officer’s functions are, as directed by the Minister, to give advice, prepare reports and carry on other activities relating to superannuation and public service employee entitlements.
Also, the officer’s functions include—
arranging an independent review of the scheme default fund arrangements and Brighter Super default fund arrangements at least 10 years after the commencement of part 10 , division 2 , subdivision 3 ; and
reporting the outcomes of the review to the Minister.
In this section—
Brighter Super default fund arrangements means the arrangements applying under the Local Government Act 2009 , section 219 .
scheme default fund arrangements means the arrangements applying under part 4 .

(sec.34-ssec.1) The officer’s functions are, as directed by the Minister, to give advice, prepare reports and carry on other activities relating to superannuation and public service employee entitlements.
