### sec.5L Removal from office as chairperson or deputy chairperson
This section applies to—
a trust, for removing from office a person who has been elected to the office of chairperson or deputy chairperson of the trust; or
the Minister or Governor in Council, for removing from office a person the Minister or Governor in Council has appointed to the office of chairperson or deputy chairperson of a trust under section 5F (2) , (3) or (4) or 5G (2) .
The trust, Minister or Governor in Council may remove the person from the office if—
a ground to remove the person from office as a member of the trust exists under section 5K (2) ; or
the person declines to act as the chairperson or deputy chairperson of the trust; or
the person is prohibited under the Corporations Act from being a director of a body corporate for a reason other than a person’s age.
