### sec.27 Destruction of written criminal history report
This section applies if the chief executive has obtained a written criminal history report about a person under section 24 and the decision has been made about whether the person is a suitable person for this Act.
The chief executive must destroy the report as soon as practicable after the later of the following—
for a conviction mentioned in the report—
the end of the period to appeal against the conviction; or
the deciding or the ending of any appeal against the conviction and any appeal from that appeal;
the end of the period under this Act for appealing against the decision, about the residential service, to which the decision about the person’s suitability relates;
the deciding, or other ending, of an appeal mentioned in paragraph (b) and any appeal from that appeal.

(sec.27-ssec.1) This section applies if the chief executive has obtained a written criminal history report about a person under section 24 and the decision has been made about whether the person is a suitable person for this Act.
(sec.27-ssec.2) The chief executive must destroy the report as soon as practicable after the later of the following— for a conviction mentioned in the report— the end of the period to appeal against the conviction; or the deciding or the ending of any appeal against the conviction and any appeal from that appeal; the end of the period under this Act for appealing against the decision, about the residential service, to which the decision about the person’s suitability relates; the deciding, or other ending, of an appeal mentioned in paragraph (b) and any appeal from that appeal.
- (a) for a conviction mentioned in the report— (i) the end of the period to appeal against the conviction; or (ii) the deciding or the ending of any appeal against the conviction and any appeal from that appeal;
- (i) the end of the period to appeal against the conviction; or
- (ii) the deciding or the ending of any appeal against the conviction and any appeal from that appeal;
- (b) the end of the period under this Act for appealing against the decision, about the residential service, to which the decision about the person’s suitability relates;
- (c) the deciding, or other ending, of an appeal mentioned in paragraph (b) and any appeal from that appeal.
- (i) the end of the period to appeal against the conviction; or
- (ii) the deciding or the ending of any appeal against the conviction and any appeal from that appeal;
