### sec.56 Delegation by Minister
The Minister may delegate the Minister’s powers under this Act to an appropriately qualified officer of the department.
However, the Minister may not delegate any of the following powers—
the power to give the board a function for section 12 (1) (f) ;
the power to direct the board under sections 15 , 46 (3) and 49 (2) ;
the power to agree in writing to, and agree in writing to modifications of, the board’s strategic and operational plans;
the power to ask a person to investigate and report under section 54 (1) .

(sec.56-ssec.1) The Minister may delegate the Minister’s powers under this Act to an appropriately qualified officer of the department.
(sec.56-ssec.2) However, the Minister may not delegate any of the following powers— the power to give the board a function for section 12 (1) (f) ; the power to direct the board under sections 15 , 46 (3) and 49 (2) ; the power to agree in writing to, and agree in writing to modifications of, the board’s strategic and operational plans; the power to ask a person to investigate and report under section 54 (1) .

- (b) the power to direct the board under sections 15 , 46 (3) and 49 (2) ;
- (c) the power to agree in writing to, and agree in writing to modifications of, the board’s strategic and operational plans;
- (d) the power to ask a person to investigate and report under section 54 (1) .
