### sec.53 Continuation of existing appointments—deputy director, secretary and other employees
This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement, held an appointment—
as deputy director of the institute under the repealed Act, section 10; or
as secretary of the institute under the repealed Act, section 11(1); or
under the repealed Act, section 11(4).
From the commencement, the person’s appointment continues as follows—
the person is a staff member of the institute who has the functions decided by the director;
the person’s appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment, to the extent the terms and conditions are consistent with paragraph (a).
(sec.53-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement, held an appointment— as deputy director of the institute under the repealed Act, section 10; or as secretary of the institute under the repealed Act, section 11(1); or under the repealed Act, section 11(4).
(sec.53-ssec.2) From the commencement, the person’s appointment continues as follows— the person is a staff member of the institute who has the functions decided by the director; the person’s appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment, to the extent the terms and conditions are consistent with paragraph (a).
- (a) as deputy director of the institute under the repealed Act, section 10; or
- (b) as secretary of the institute under the repealed Act, section 11(1); or
- (c) under the repealed Act, section 11(4).
- (a) the person is a staff member of the institute who has the functions decided by the director;
- (b) the person’s appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment, to the extent the terms and conditions are consistent with paragraph (a).
