### sec.54 Continuation of existing appointments—honorary research workers and research projects
This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement, held an appointment—
as an honorary research worker under the repealed Act, section 11(6); or
to take part in research projects under the repealed Act, section 11A.
From the commencement, the person’s appointment continues as follows—
the person is taken to have been engaged as a researcher under section 40;
the person’s appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment.
(sec.54-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement, held an appointment— as an honorary research worker under the repealed Act, section 11(6); or to take part in research projects under the repealed Act, section 11A.
(sec.54-ssec.2) From the commencement, the person’s appointment continues as follows— the person is taken to have been engaged as a researcher under section 40; the person’s appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment.
- (a) as an honorary research worker under the repealed Act, section 11(6); or
- (b) to take part in research projects under the repealed Act, section 11A.
