### sec.53 Council’s decision about entering place in, or removing place from, register The council may decide to enter the place the subject of an application in the Queensland heritage register if the council considers it satisfies 1 or more of the cultural heritage criteria. The council must decide to remove the place the subject of an application from the Queensland heritage register if the council considers it no longer satisfies any of the cultural heritage criteria. In making a decision on a heritage recommendation for an application about the proposed entry of a place in the Queensland heritage register, the council may decide— to enter the place, as proposed in the heritage recommendation, in the register; or to enter the place, as varied from the heritage recommendation, in the register; or not to enter the place in the register.
