### sec.150 Fixed term temporary employees The chief executive of a public service entity may employ a person on a temporary basis for a fixed term to perform work of a type ordinarily performed by— an officer; or a senior officer. However, subsection (1) applies only if employment of a person on a permanent basis is not viable or appropriate, having regard to the planning of human resources carried out by the chief executive under section 177 (1) (f) . The employment may be full-time or part-time. A person employed under this section does not, only because of the employment, become a public service officer.
